SONOTEC at Silicon Saxony Day 2021

SONOTEC has been one of the main sponsors of the 15th edition of the Silicon Saxony Day. On May 27, the ultrasound specialist presented its sensor portfolio for non-contact flow and bubble monitoring in the semiconductor industry at the annual conference of the high-tech network Silicon Saxony.

The virtual event combined networking opportunities and in-depth presentations about the latest technology trends in the ICT sector. Under the motto “Connect. Exchange. Grow.” the transfer of knowledge and technology has been one of the conference’s main aims.

High-Quality Presentations and Valuable Networking

For SONOTEC it was the first participation in the event. The company has been a member of the Silicon Saxony network since the beginning of 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there has been rarely the chance to take part in events organized by the network. Therefore, the Silicon Saxony Day offered valuable insights into current and future technologies in the semiconductor industry and opened up the opportunity to get virtually in touch with German, European, and international key players of the industry. By gaining fruitful insights and establishing important business contacts SONOTEC introduced its contactless clamp-on flow sensors and air bubble detectors to the participants from all over the world. Anika Baumhauer, Strategy & Sales Manager for the semiconductor industry sums up the sponsor’s impression of the 15th Silicon Saxony Day: “High-quality presentations, nice participants, interesting conversations, a good platform and great organizers - thank you Silicon Saxony!”

Non-Contact Flow Sensors and Bubble Detectors for the Semiconductor Industry

The ultrasonic flow sensors SEMIFLOW CO.65 and SONOFLOW IL.52 as well as the ultrasonic bubble detectors SONOCHECK ABD06 are important quality management instruments to monitor and control liquid flow and bubble processes such as in wafer manufacturing in the semiconductor industry. The contactless sensors can be integrated into systems without any machine downtime and without any risk of contamination or leakages and are thus the ideal mean to measure abrasive, adherent, corrosive, and ultra-pure liquids. Due to the integrated electronics and analysis unit, the sensors convince with a small footprint which further facilitates their integration.
